For example, Eurich notes that customer service professionals with stronger self-awareness perform their jobs as those who struggle with self-awareness. That鈥檚 not surprising considering how important listening and collecting feedback are to the customer service experience.听

鈥淜nowing is always better than not knowing,鈥 Eurich said.听

What can you do to promote a self-aware culture?

Understanding is half the battle! While 95% of people think they鈥檙e self-aware, .听

You can start by taking a self-awareness quiz. Eurich provides . After completing it, you鈥檒l then seek a friend or co-worker鈥檚 feedback and then see the results.听

Buy-in is also an important part of promoting self-awareness. 鈥淚f senior leaders aren鈥檛 modeling self-awareness, it鈥檚 going to be very difficult,鈥 Eurich said. 鈥淭he bottom line: There has to be an all-in commitment on the part of senior leaders.鈥澛
